Giving Back – Staff
Our staff are fully committed to the communities and causes that are close to the offices and industry we operate in. We have had a number of charity partners that we’ve collaborated with over the last few years raising tens of thousands of pounds. Whether it’s money donated for a cup of coffee from the office barista or a gruelling half-marathon, our employees have gone the extra mile.
Guernsey Sports Association For The Disabled
We have supported GSAD since 2016 and have raised thousands of pounds for them over the years.
GSAD is an active club for people with any kind of learning or physical disability, with members ranging in age from 18 to 65+. Activities include skittles, table tennis, pool, short mat bowls, and various team games, with some activities taking place outdoors in the summer.
GSAD competes in the Royal Bath & West Sport for the Disabled event each year and often returns with trophies from a variety of sports.
GSAD has recently moved venues to the Guernsey Table Tennis Centre which will give them more space and opportunity for their ever-expanding club. With the help of Betway Limited Guernsey Branch, the club is hoping to purchase a longer boules mat which will help develop their skills in competitive boules.
Each year Betway invites club members and volunteers to enjoy the Betway Channel Islands Sports Awards.
Special Olympics Malta
Special Olympics Malta is an organisation set up in 2000 that provides free year-round sports training and international exposure for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Malta. Since 2017 Betway’s Maltese based employees have raised a five-figure sum for the organisation.
The funds are used for flights to international competitions and sports attire for their athletes. Betway have collaborated with the charity on many events and initiatives scheduled to raise money including sports days and participation in the Gozo marathon.
